The PCI-DIO24 I/O Card and Measurement Computing Support Pack Many experiments require that the computer interact with external equipment such as lamps, fMRI, EEG, rotary pursuit, animal cages, or various input devices. This interaction is achieved using input and output lines, also known as I/O lines. The PCI-DIO24 is a low cost I/O card that plugs into your PC and provides a total of 24 I/O lines. Software Support The Measurement Computing Support Pack that Cedrus supplies allows for 8 lines to be used for input and 8 lines for output. The Support Pack consists of one SuperLab Pro input module and one event module named "Digital Output". Using the PCI-DIO24 card with SuperLab Pro is very easy this way. If you need to program the PCI-DIO24 card directly instead of using it with SuperLab Pro, the manufacturer of the card, Measurement Computing, Corp., offers the Universal Library. This library allows you to program the card in DOS, Windows, C, Pascal, Basic, and Delphi. See Measurement Computing's web site for details. Specifications The PCI-DIO24 card supplies its I/O lines via a DB-37 male connector. The card requires a standard PCI slot.
