The information in this document applies Microsoft Windows first time users of RB-530, RB-730, RB-830, and RB-834 response pads models.
When you connect the response pad to your PC’s USB port, Windows will automatically prompt you to find and install the USB driver – in most cases. However, in a few instances, it does not. In that case, visit this web page. Scroll down a little, you will see a table of available USB drivers. In the Comments column, click on the link “setup executable”:
The “setup executable” link is more convenient than the drivers listed in the “x86” and “x64” columns because, when the program runs, it automatically places the USB driver files in the correct location.
Depending on your computer’s settings, you will likely need administrator priviliges to perform this one-time installation.
Older units can still work with the Cedrus-supplied drivers, on all versions of Mac OS and all 32-bit versions of Windows. But unfortunately, they will not work with the 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7.
To insure that your response pad will work on all recent computers, please follow these steps.
