Unfortunately, it is not possible to record the onset of StimTracker 1G events using Net Station version 5. You can record only the offsets; see this blog post. The newer StimTracker Duo and Quad models provide the necessary logic for Net Station 5 to record the onsets.
If you are using Net Station 4.x, please see this older support note.
Cedrus manufactures a StimTracker signal adapter board that makes it possible to interface with EGI’s Net Amps EEG amplifiers. The signal adapter comes with a DB9 cable that is ready to plug into the GES 200 and GES 250, using the Net Amps 200. On the GES 300 and later systems, an additional “Hypertronics-to-DB9” cable is needed. EGI installations usually have this cable already, but if your does not, you can buy one from EGI or Cedrus’ store.
Net Station 5 can only record the OFFSET of a StimTracker 1G signal; it cannot record the onset. For example, when using a light sensor, Net Station 5 can record when a stimulus has disappeared off the screen but not when it appeared.
Setting up Net Station 5 is straightforward. Make sure that the setting “DINs 1-8” on the right side is set to “8 DINs”. In the screenshot below, in the upper part of the window, you can see event marker offsets (DINs) being received periodically.
