For maximum compatibility with application programs, the response pads offer the following:
This document describes the DIP switch settings. However, if you already know which program you want to use your response pad with, e.g. SuperLab or E-Prime, see the Riponda Support home page for a list of programs.
The DIP switches are located on the bottom of the response pad.
It is important to note that the response pad “reads” the position of the switches only when it is powered up. If you change them, you will need to unplug the USB connector and plug it in again for the new settings to take effect.
When shipped, all the switches are in the up (On) position. Switch 1 determines the mode: Keyboard (when switch 1 is down) vs. Standard (when switch 1 is up). Switches 2 and 3 determine the protocol used. Switch 4 determines the baud rate (speed) at which the data is sent.
