What is the difference between c-pod and m-pod?

c-pod connects to a computer’s USB port.

m-pod is not a standalone device. It connects to StimTracker, RB response pad, or Lumina, but can deliver more types of event markers than c-pod.

What software is m-pod compatible with?

Software does not need to communicate with m-pod directly. It communicates with StimTracker, response pad, or Lumina. m-pod does not require software support on its own.

Should I buy m-pod with a response pad or StimTracker?

Much depends on the types of event markers that you require and on your budget.

An m–pod and response pad combination is an excellent value, offering commonly sought after types of event markers:

Onset of visual stimuli (the RB-x40 models support one light sensor)
Onset of participant responses
Event markers sent via USB

But if your budget permits, StimTracker offers a lot more:

Support for two or four light sensors
Onset of auditory stimuli
Onset of a voice response via microphone (Quad model only)
Support for multimodal experiments, i.e. generating time-synched event markers for more than one recorder.

You do not offer an m-pod that is compatible with my recorder. Which model should I choose?

We recommend that you send us an email that includes details of the input on your recorder; we might have something for you. If not, you will need a custom cable.

If I place an order, when can I receive it?

m-pod is a stocking item. We ship within 1 to 2 business days. In the U.S. we ship via UPS Ground from California. Delivery time depends on your location. Outside the U.S., we ship via DHL or UPS.

What are the package weight and dimensions?

The following weight and dimensions are for the boxed package.

Dimensions: 10.5 x 8.25 x 1.75 inches / 26.9 x 21.1 x 4.5 cm
Weight: 0.8 lbs / 362 grams

These boxes goes into a larger shipping box, so weight and dimensions will be slightly larger.
