Firmware Capabilities

m-pod offer these advanced built-in features:

• Signal Mapping
  You can assign an event marker to an output line of your choice. You can also assign multiple event markers to a single output line. Or assign an event marker to multiple output lines.
• Minimum Pulse Duration
  The lower the sampling rate, the longer a signal needs to be before your biometric recorder can detect it. With m-pod, you can ensure delivery of your signals by forcing an event marker delivered by StimTracker or a response pad to have a minimum pulse duration.
• Output Modes
  By default, m-pod’s output reflects the input. For example, if a light sensor detects a stimulus for 300ms, the length of the output signal will be 300ms. You can change that so that m-pod produces a pulse with a duration of your choice, e.g. 10ms. Further, you can have m-pod deliver a 10ms on onset of the stimulus (single pulse mode) and on both onset and offset (double pulse mode).

Software Support

The raw commands that m-pod accepts are fully documented but it would be highly unusual if you needed to program for them. All features described above can be configured using our free Xidon software for Mac or Windows. Once configured, the options you select are stored in flash memory once and for all.
