Cedrus offers an option to send up to 13 bits of data to a PC-compatible parallel port.
The parallel port, also known as LPT port, has largely disappeared from all Windows-based laptops and nearly all desktop PCs. We offer compatibility with this venerable port because a number of EEG recording systems use a trigger port that is pin-compatible with a PC parallel port.
c-pod plugs directly into a computer’s parallel port:
It draws its power from your computer via USB. c-pod delivers 13 bits of event markers reliably and asynchronously.
Cedrus offers two other solutions that offer more options:
StimTracker adds marking of visual stimuli, auditory stimuli, participant responses, and support for multiple outputs.
A combination of response pad and m-pod adds support for marking key presses, onset of vocal responses, and onset of visual stimuli using an optional light sensor.
